Acquired competences

● acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge of the peculiarities of using alternative fuels in transport and stationary energy facilities.

Learning outcomes

● know the peculiarities of obtaining and properties of alternative fuels;● be able to calculate heat engines using alternative fuels;● be able to select equipment for the use of alternative fuels in heat engines.

Topic 1: Resources for the production of alternative fuels.
Topic 2. Gaseous alternative fuels, their properties.
Topic 3. Liquid alternative fuels, their properties.
Topic 4. Features of the use of alternative fuels in thermal engines and power plants.

Content module 2. Features of the design and operation of thermal engines running on alternative fuels

Topic 5. Work processes in thermal engines using gaseous alternative fuels.
Topic 6. Work processes in heat engines using liquid alternative fuels.
Topic 7. Features of the design of heat engines using gaseous alternative fuels.
