Purpose

To provide systematic education in the field of internal combustion engines, which will allow graduates to be competitive in the global labour market and solve modern problems of society. To prepare harmoniously developed, socially active, creative, highly skilled, mobile, capable of self-development and self-improvement specialists, forming interest in certain areas of theory, construction, design, diagnostics and operation of internal combustion engines.

Objects of study

Processes occurring in power plants (internal combustion engines (ICEs), ICE air supply units - mechanical compressors and turbochargers, pumping equipment).

Learning objectives

Training of specialists capable of calculating, designing, operating, manufacturing, assembling, adjusting and repairing internal combustion engines and implementing energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies in industry and transport (land, sea and river).

Focus

The Bachelor's degree programme has an applied focus. The programme is focused on the acquisition of knowledge in the field of design, construction, work processes, manufacturing, diagnostics and operation of internal combustion engines of all types and purposes, as well as installations using these engines.

Features of the programme

The training focuses on the study of processes in internal combustion engines, the design of internal combustion engines and their components. The programme covers all types of transport and stationary internal combustion engines. Particular emphasis is placed on marine engines, their specifics, operational features and maintenance. The educational institution has an impressive laboratory base with working samples of internal combustion engines and their components, which are used in the educational process.
