The company's history dates back to 1907 and spans more than 100 years. The company produces reliable aircraft engines and gas turbine units that are competitive in the global market. The company's products are used on aircraft and helicopters for various purposes in more than 120 countries. In December 1915, the plant was bought by Duflon, Konstantinovich & Co (DECA), which changed the profile of its production activities. The company mastered the production of aircraft engines. The first six-cylinder water-cooled engine, the DECA M-100, was manufactured in October 1916.
In 1916, the plant mastered the production of aircraft engines and since then has been producing a wide range of piston engines developed both by its own designers and designers from other design bureaus.

In 1953, the company started production of RD-45 and RD-500 jet engines. It was the beginning of a new era of gas turbine engines.

The history of the enterprise is a gradual development of new engines in serial production, each of which became an event in the development of domestic aircraft engine building.

Since 1995, the company has been transformed into Joint Stock Company Motor Sich.

Today, the company is engaged in serial production of AI-322, D-436-148, AI-450-MS, TV3-117VMA-SBM1V aircraft engines for An-148, An-158, Mi-24, Mi-25, Mi-17, and Mi-171 helicopters. Intensive preparation for serial production of the MS-500 engine for various aircraft.
