Acquired competences

● Ability to analyse and comprehensively integrate modern knowledge of natural, engineering, socio-economic and other sciences to solve complex problems and issues related to the design and operation of power and heat engineering equipment.● Ability to design and operate power and heat engineering equipment.● Ability to make effective decisions on the production and operation of power and heat engineering equipment, taking into account the requirements for quality, environmental friendliness, reliability, competitiveness and occupational safety.

Learning outcomes

● Formulate and solve complex engineering, manufacturing and/or research problems in the design, manufacture and operation of power equipment and create competitive developments, implement results in innovative projects.

Module 1.
Content module 1: General issues of operation of installations with internal combustion engines

Topic 1: The use of internal combustion engines in modern transport and stationary installations.
Topic 2. Basic concepts and definitions of the operation of installations with internal combustion engines.
Topic 3. Means and conditions of operation of installations with internal combustion engines.
Topic 4. The main stages of operation of installations with internal combustion engines.

Content module 2: Fundamentals of technical operation of installations with internal combustion engines

Topic 5. Maintenance of parts, systems and devices of installations with internal combustion engines.
Topic 6. Environmental requirements for the operation of installations with internal combustion engines.
Topic 7. Repair of internal combustion engine parts.
Topic 8: Repair of units of systems and devices of plants with internal combustion engines.
