General information

Acquired competences

● Obtaining by applicants of theoretical and practical knowledge on the features of established and unsustainable modes of operation of ship, diesel locomotive and autotractor power plants under different operating conditions.

Learning outcomes

● know the types and features of well-established and unsustainable modes of operation of ship, diesel locomotive and autotractor power plants;● be able to perform the calculation of the main parameters of established and non-established modes of operation, taking into account the characteristics of the object of application and operating conditions;● have an idea of optimizing the parameters of ship, diesel and autotractor power plants, taking into account their work in the entire possible range of operating modes.

Programme of the academic discipline

Module 1.

Content module 1. Characteristics and operating modes of ship power plants

Topic 1. Definition and classification of characteristics and modes of SEU operation.
Topic 2. Established modes of SEU operation.
Topic 3. Unsustainable modes of SEU operation.
Topic 4. Emergency modes of MPP operation.

Content module 2. Characteristics and operating modes of diesel and autotracer plants

Topic 5. Definition and classification of characteristics and modes of operation of diesel locomotive and autotractor installations.
Topic 6. Established modes of operation of diesel locomotive and autotractor installations.
Topic 7. Unsustainable modes of operation of diesel and autotractor installations.

Topics of practical classes

● Calculation of screw characteristic
● Determination of optimal parameters of SEU at the established modes
● Determination of the optimal parameters of SEU in non-steady modes
● Determination of optimal parameters of SEU in emergency modes
● Features of calculation of characteristics of autotractor installations
● Determination of optimal adjustment parameters of diesel locomotive installations at steady modes
● Determination of the influence of operational factors on the parameters of transport installations in non-steady modes
